A 6 bedroom full-house renovation of a Queen-Anne style villa, using punchy colour & dramatic statements to create an exciting & functional home for a busy couple, their 3 kids, & Daffy the dog. We completely altered the flow of the house, creating generous architectural links & a sweeping stairwell; both opening up spaces, but also catering for the flexibility of privacy required with a growing family. We designed over-sized bi-folding doors that function as room dividers, also as a continuation of the wall panelling detail. Huge glazed doors were installed to puncture a new opening from hallway to reception room, thus creating a feeling of openness whilst still keeping each space separated.

A designer’s dream - this entire project required everything to be newly specified by us, from furniture to fixtures & flooring, to bespoke joinery, the only existing pieces we had to work around were a piano & a family heirloom Grandfather clock. Our clients' bravery & love of drama allowed us to experiment with bold colour and pattern, and by adding in a rich, eclectic mix of vintage and modern furniture, we've created a super-comfortable, high-glamour family home.

“There are architects who create dramatic spaces and there are interior designers who conjure sumptuous rooms. With ROCK + POPPINS we found a team who were skilled at both. The result is a home which combines high drama with domestic comforts. Each room is distinct and perfectly designed for its function while also cleverly connected with the rest of the house."
