Our young client came to us wanting a traditional interior, an almost 'gentleman's club' type environment, with heavy oil paintings & lots of antiques. Maybe a bit pastiche & stuffy for a young & suave guy (with a passion for guitars & rock music) we thought. However, not wanting to disappoint, we decided to give him all he wanted, but with a bit of a twist. We panelled out all of the rooms to create a sense of tradition & detail, then used rich, jewel-like colours for decoration & lead colour palette. We carefully sourced exquisite antique pieces & beautiful works of art, then combined all of this with a strong douse of mid-century styling to bring in a contemporary element.

To further add to the youthful twist, we framed & hung - as a central wall feature - our client's phenomenal collection of 1st edition vintage NME magazines. This juxtaposition of Rock & Tradition is 100% reflective of our client's personality. He is now a very happy young man.

"I instantly felt comfortable with Simon & Jo, as they are extremely likeable, trustworthy, and passionate about their work. Jo was incredibly helpful throughout - project-managing/coordinating the logistics for all deliveries and incoming invoices. She was also a great help in keeping the project on-budget, making sure we knew where we stood at all times on outstanding costs. The final result is a property that I am extremely happy with, and true to the original vision that I had for my home. I would recommend ROCK + POPPINS to anyone looking for high-quality residential design and project-management – and I will definitely use their services again in future."
