Luxury watch & jewellery retailer of great heritage, Hettich are the official Rolex dealers in St. Helier, Jersey, specialising also in Patek Philippe watches. Established & family run for the last 125 years, the business is now fronted by younger brothers Nick & Jeff, and with the impending expansion into a much larger retail site, they were keen to continue the legacy with new beginnings. Our store concept & updated aesthetic needed to respect Hettich’s existing core values: tradition, honesty & integrity, but with a fresh take & modern perspective. We started by giving their overall signature colour palette a face-lift, moving the Racing green shade to a fresher spearmint hue.
For the furniture elements, we veered away from the existing, heavy & angular display cases & developed lozenge shaped cabinets with green anodised bases, adding a contemporary twist & modern lustre to these pieces. Brass strapping detail, rich timber fluted panelling & linear faceted mirrored cladding all add to the sense of high-end luxury, with the vertical linear motif keeping the scheme clean & contemporary in feel. To maximise the ceiling heights & sense of grandeur, we created areas of coffered ceiling & hung opulent chandeliers for added luxe. The new, grand staircase within the building was to become a real focal point and entice customers upstairs, so we designed this with multiple, sweeping turns to reach the required 1st floor height in dramatic fashion, lining the stairwell walls with faceted strips of bronze mirror for additional magical effect.
