The Westfield Grand Prix Prize was awarded to our clients Henry &Theo, and they were given the opportunity to get tenancy on a Westfield unit, with prize money to help fund the design & the shop fit. Their passion is second-hand fashion & this store would be a community hub for vintage dealers to sell their clothes in a busy shopping mall environment next to the like of Flannels & John Lewis. Due to our previous work with Westfield, we were selected as the store designers to support & guide these 2 young entrepreneurs through the shop build process, navigating tender, budget spreadsheets and project timelines.
The prize money budget dictated clever & creative design decisions, affirming our clients ethos to re-use & re-appropriate where at all possible. Powder pink walls, a cork-clad cash desk & columns, stockroom surplus VM props, and a self-crafted, suspended centre display piece all make for a youthfully dynamic & bold store environment.
